Optimization of the Biodiesel Production via Transesterification Reaction of Palm Oil using Response Surface Methodology (RSM): A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

The optimization method is vital in chemical synthesis and has been applied many fields nowadays. Response surface methodology (RSM) an example of that useful examining the effects multiple independent variables. RSM was studies to optimize transesterification biodiesel production from palm oil presence a catalyst. This paper aims provide overview recent catalyzed trends, as well benefits drawbacks heterogeneous, homogeneous, enzyme catalysts production. used design process statistically analyze interaction reaction variables, such time, temperature, catalyst amount, molar ratio substrate, were optimized during process. A statistical model response plots visualized graphically contour three-dimensional figures explain interactive variables on response. In sum, this discussed relationships between parameters optimum conditions for using RSM.

Optimization of Lipase-Catalyzed Transesterification of Cotton Seed Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Response Surface Methodology

The aim of this work was to study the biodiesel production from cotton seed oil by lipase produced by Pichia guilliermondii lipase, which was immobilized onto hydrophobic magnetic particles (HMPs). The optimum reaction conditions were determined for lipase dosage, methanol-to-oil molar ratio, temperature and water content. Using response surface methodology, a quadratic polynomial equation was ...
